The exhibit “Commentaries in Cloth” at the Gallery at Natomas 48 in Folsom, CA is currently featuring the work of the Pixeladies (Deb Cashatt and Kris Sazaki) and Susan Else. The Pixieladies will be speakers at the GQCCC general meeting in May 2023.
Also on display are pieces by the mini art group Quartz of the Folsom Quilt and Fiber Guild, including two from our very own Joan Barker.

2023 QUILT SHOW -- APRIL 15 AND 16, 2023
VOLUNTEER SIGN-UP - Online registration for volunteer opportunities at the quilt show is now open! We need everyone to pitch in and volunteer to help at the 2023 Quilt Show. This is our biggest fund raising activity for the year, and we need and appreciate all the help our members can provide to make it a success. We encourage you to sign up for those areas where you can help the most.
ADMISSION TICKET PRE-SALE -- Discounted tickets are now available on the website! Regular price at the door is $12, pre-sale ticket is $10. Members are required to purchase tickets for entry into the quilt show if they do not volunteer. Discounted tickets are available to the public, too.

Registration for Quilts of Valor National Sew Day on February 4, 2023 is now open!
Member groups, other groups who support the cause, quilt industry supporters, and individuals meet throughout the US to sew, have fun, and make Quilts of Valor.
You can participate on Facebook Live and have the opportunity to win a prize drawing throughout the day.

The Yuba-Sutter Valley Quilt Guild will celebrate its 40th Annual Quilt Show in Yuba City, California, the 11th and 12th of March 2023. The theme of the show is “Land That I Love” and it will be a little bit different. The whole front half of the show will be red, white and blue quilts, and there will be red, white and blue quilts hanging from the ceiling. One entire row, "The Avenue of Valor", will display quilts that members of the guild have made to present to local veterans following the show. The back half of the show will be all the beautiful quilts of other colors that members of the guild have made.

12 Cycles shows the breadth and depth of a complex collaboration between 12 fiber artists over the course of eighteen months and thousands of miles.
The round-robin fiber-arts project involved circulating and responding to a growing collection of visual ideas that arrived without verbal or written commentary or explanation. Each artist developed a new idea to add to the group based only on what was sent to them, and without knowing what the final collection would be.
