WEATHERVANE BLOCK

Early in its founding, GQCCC adopted the classic Weathervane block as its logo.  The colors have changed over the years, but the characteristic contrasting color on the southeast corner has been constant.

Volunteers at the annual quilt show are required to wear aprons with this block, to identify themselves as members to assist visitors.  Below are three patterns that can be downloaded to construct blocks to adorn an apron (members only).

Weathervane Block - Traditional

Weathervane Block - Paper Pieced

Weathervane Block - Half-square Triangles
