It is October, the month of ghost and ghoulies, purple and orange. Always, a busy month in our family with making piñatas for birthday and Halloween parties. Have some holiday quilt projects you’re finishing up? Go ahead and share pictures with Kitty Nowack and she’ll post your spooky creations on social media.

Thanks so much to our guild members that stepped up and helped. We had many members show up and pick up muslin to sew to re-place the muslins that were stolen, some people taking ten muslins. Dale Wolfe received eight sewing machines to donate to the Paradise Ridge Quilters Guild. Your time and generosity are greatly appreciated.

Congratulations to Joan Barker, Ann Hoeft, Susan Lynn, Fran McNamee, and Jackie Seidell for having their quilts accepted into PIQF. Be sure to look for their quilts at the show, October 17th to 20th at the Santa Clara Convention Center. If anyone else got their quilt in PIQF, let us know so we can honor you and find your quilt at the show.

Would you like to take a quilt cruise? Pat Abernathy shared at the general meeting about a quilt cruise leaving from San Francisco next year. Contact her if you would like more information.

Joe Cunningham gave a great presentation this past general meeting starting with a guitar and a song. This month we have Claire Witherspoon, “Confessions of an Eclectic Quilter”.

Happy Haunting,
