Block of the MonthDonna HaslamEach month a new block design is presented to members at the general meeting. The next month members that have participated return the blocks with their name to be entered in a drawing to win the blocks.
Block ExchangeCathy SargentA group of members sign up to make a block for everyone in the group in return for everyone making them a block. Each participant chooses the block design and colors, and may optionally provide a swatch of fabric they to be used in the blocks. The exchange lasts for one year, with each participant making a total of twelve blocks.
Donations                             Mary StocklerDonations of fabric, patterns, tools, batting, and other quiltmaking supplies are collected throughout the year. These items are sold at the Country Store area during the annual quilt show.
FarmhouseDebbie FlandersThis committee chair coordinates scheduling of small groups meeting at the Farmhouse, obtains any supplies required, manages security, and interacts with the property management.
HistorianKathy CallahanMaintains history of the guild and mainly makes an album of the annual quilt show.
LibrarianMary Pimentel-WheelerMaintains the library and the online listing, and is also responsible for following up on items that have been checked out.
Member-led WorkshopsLaura MottEnlists members to teach classes and coordinates the signup process.
NCQC RepresentativeMonica KasemanThe Northern California Quilt Council (NCQC) facilitates communication between quilt guilds, teachers, and others in the quilting industry. The representative attends the NCQC meetings and reports back to GQCCC.
NewsletterBecky StylesThe “Weathervane” newsletter is sent out online on a monthly basis [except January], or via mail for an extra fee. The editor compiles contributions to the newsletter and sends it out to the members. Advertisements can be included in the newsletter for a small fee.
2022 Opportunity QuiltAnn HoeftCoordinates all activities related to making the opportunity quilt, which is raffled at the annual quilt show. Quilt designs can be suggested by members and the final design is submitted to the Board for approval. Fabrics are purchased and divided up into block “kits”. Volunteer members construct blocks according to the quilt design which then are assembled into the quilt top. Members can volunteer to help with any of the aspects of making the quilt.
2022 Traveling Quilt OPENCoordinates with other guilds to take the opportunity quilt to their meetings or events. Also books other guilds to bring their quilts to GQCCC meetings. Member volunteers take the quilt to those meetings and sell raffle tickets.

Patriotic QuiltsSharyn OwensCoordinates the team that assembles kits to complete quilts that will be donated to various organizations. Also directs donations of items made by guild members, such as quilt tops, a completed quilt, wheelchair bag, or other useful items.
PublicityOPENCoordinates the design and printing of bookmarks and flyers, and sends out emails about our annual quilt show that can be shared with quilt shops, groups, libraries, or businesses.
Quilt ShowLinda Luks and Ann HoeftThe quilt show is is the main fundraising activity for the guild. The chair coordinates the many aspects of staging this event. This includes booking the venue, recruiting members to setup and take down the exhibits, scheduling members to act as docents and staffing tables at the show.
Quilts to ShareCynthia AllenThis group finds homes for quilts and other useful items in our local community. Requests for specific items can go out on an as needed basis for members to help supply.
SunshineOPENContact person for members that could use a little sunshine, a card to cheer them up or let them know the guild members are thinking of them, or a bereavement card for a loss in their immediate family.
Technical MarketingCynthia WheelerProvides input to the website and social media and provides technical support for accessing guild activities over Zoom.
WebmasterDoris ReillyMaintains the guild website and creates content for upcoming meetings and events.
