Happy Spring!

With each passing season, more inspiration seems to pop up – tulips, iris, daffodils – all the lovely flowers of spring. So many ideas! So many paths to follow! Bring your inspired creations to share with us at Show and Tell at our general meetings.

Now that 2016 Quilt Show is over, we can relax and enjoy the wonderful line up of guest speakers for the remaining months in 2016, along with guest speaker classes and of course, our talented, skilled and generous members continue to teach new techniques in the member led workshops. Please check out the o offerings in this newsletter and sign up for classes and workshops with Jill Orr, our Treasurer.

Another fun activity is our August general meeting when we have a Sew In to support our Outreach Groups. Bring your sewing machine and sit down and sew precut projects. Sit next to a stranger and walk away at evening’s end, with a new friend. Really does work like that, too!

Our fiscal year runs from July 1st through June 30th, so membership renewals are due in July. Guild membership renewal forms can be found at general meetings, in the Farmhouse and on the website – gqccc.org. I like to renew early so I can be sure to be included in the new membership directory.

See you at the General Meeting on Monday, May 16th. Carol Van Zandt will show us how she de- signs fabrics from Doodles. Fun, eh?
