We survived another Quilt Show. It was great and even though attendance was lower than in year’s past, we made enough money to cover the rental of the Farmhouse ($775 per month) and monthly rent of Concord Centre ($229/month). So we’re good to go for another year.
Next year we will each have to work on getting more friends and family to attend the Quilt Show.
Patsy Ronat delivered Raynell’s Beautiful Bees quilt to her delighted daughter, Shirley Coleman on Monday. (Shirley had a day off and was going to be home, and Patsy felt “safer” about taking a quick and easy drive to Tracy than to mail such a precious package.) Shirley remembers helping to cut pieces for the quilt (always on Mondays; they were “Mom” days, time dedicated to playing or working together), so it was nice to be able to bring the quilt “home” to her on a Monday! Raynell’s quilt is now with her family.
We have a great speaker, Colleen Granger, for the May meeting. This is our annual business meeting so we will be voting on the bylaws, the proposed budget, and the officers nominated for 2019-2021. You received the proposed bylaws revisions last month and the proposed budget is included in this newsletter.
Enjoy the nice weather!
