Our annual Quilt Show is a little more than a month away. It is the Guild’s main source of income and our biggest social event of the year. It takes many volunteers to have a fabulous show. Remember if you don’t help with the show, Guild members must still pay admission to get into the show. Sign up to volunteer and get into the show for free while having fun with your fellow quilters. Come early to the March meeting or contact a volunteer chair directly to see where your talents can shine.

If you have not yet entered your quilt in the show, you still have time to get your entry form in to Mary Pimentel-Wheeler. Monday, March 9th is the deadline. If you need an entry form, you can go to the website and download one.

Be sure to get your raffle tickets in and spread the word to family and friends about attending the show. A successful show keeps the Guild going by paying for the Farmhouse, the monthly speakers and our outreach programs.

I forgot to ask for member volunteers for the nominating committee last meeting. I have two board members, Becky Styles and Nancy VanMeter but I need three members to complete the committee. Please let Becky, Nancy, or myself know if you are willing to help with the committee. The nomination committee task is to fill the two open Officer positions. The positions of 2nd Vice President and Recording Secretary are open. The 2nd Vice President is our Program Chair and gets the speakers and presenters for our general meetings. It is a fun and exciting position that connects you to some terrific quilt talent. The Recording Secretary is our scribe for our general and board meetings. Melissa Gerber, our outgoing Recording Secretary, estimates it takes about six hours a month to do her job. If you are interested, please contact our nominating committee.
