Thank you everyone that took time to vote in our digital election. Mary Pimentel-Wheeler is Recording Secretary, Cathy Sargent is 2nd VP and Eileen Limberg is Treasurer.

This month we had members graciously give of their time to the Guild, filling some needed positions. Yay! Ann Hoeft is the 2022 Opportunity Quilt Chair; she is currently forming her committees. Please contact Ann to participate. Cynthia Wheeler is our new Technical Marketing Chair. Cynthia is having practice Zoom sessions to help members get ready for our first online General Meeting. If you need some Zoom guidance, please contact Cynthia.

A big thank you to Kitty Nowack as Social Media Chair. Kitty jump started GQCCC’s online presence. We wish Kitty luck in her future fiber endeavors.

Want to give back to the Guild? We need a 2021 Traveling Quilt Chair. The position schedules sister guilds visiting GQCCC and our quilt visiting local guilds and venues to sell tickets.  Digital tools will be utilized to help sign-up volunteers to take the quilt out to play. Please contact Taryn Doidge if you can help fill this need.

GQCCC is expanding with online services to keep members involved and connected.

  • Congratulations Daryl Harvey for winning the 2020 Opportunity Quilt; see it on Facebook Live.
  • Laura Mott had great success with the first Zoom class. More classes to come.
  • Monday, June 15th, general meeting on Zoom features Mel Beach. Watch for the email with the Zoom meeting link.

It is time to renew your GQCCC membership. You can now easily complete your membership application and pay your dues online. Renew by Sunday, June 14th, and your name is entered into a drawing for a gift card from local quilts stores: Hilly’s Quilts, The Cotton Patch and Wooden Gate Quilts. Winners will be drawn at the June 15th, Zoom General Meeting.

Good luck and keep quilting.
