This online FREE virtual quilt show begins on Thursday, September 9 and runs through Saturday, September 11. You can jump online at Quiltshow.com beginning at 8:30 AM each morning until 4:30 PM each afternoon. There will be SEW much to see… numerous quilt exhibits that you’ll be able to ‘walk’ through and view from the comfort of your home; numerous teachers who will be speaking on a variety of topics which will allow you to learn some new techniques; and there is also a Virtual Vendor Mall with 60 vendors…many of whom will have live demos!

All that is required is that you REGISTER! Do it today, and you will be able to peruse the schedule to see everything that will take place during the show. Set aside some time to jump on the website and view the lectures. There will be a ‘live’ Q&A after each session so you can ask questions.

A virtual Zoom event of the premiere episode of the Textile Arts Council’s Artist Series, featuring artist Alice Beasley. For thirty years, the Oakland-based, self-taught quilter Beasley has spoken out on issues and events that are meaningful to her through her figurative appliqué quilts.

The event includes a film about Beasley followed by a conversation between Beasley and fellow fiber artist Mirka Knaster.

New Quilts of Northern California is accepting entries for an exhibit at the Pacific International Quilt Festival (PIQF), held at the Santa Clara Convention Center on October 14-17, 2021. Exhibit entries are limited to residents of Northern California only.  “Northern California” is defined as  Monterey, Kings, Tulare and Inyo Counties up to the Oregon/NV borders.

Entry form and pictures must be emailed no later than Monday, August 9, 2021. Entry fee must be received or postmarked by August 9, 2021.
