GQCCC currently has 237 active members who gather to share and learn in a myriad of different activities, workshops, programs, and sewing groups.  Our diverse quilters live from Alamo, Antioch, Benicia, Brentwood, Clayton, Concord, Danville, Lafayette, Martinez, Pleasant Hill, Vallejo, and Walnut Creek.  Their interests include hand and machine piecing,  hand and machine appliqué, hand and machine quilting, machine free-motion quilting, hand and machine embroidery, even fabric dyeing!

Membership In GQCCC includes:

  • Admission to the monthly general meetings featuring guest artists who stimulate new methods, ideas, tools and beautiful quilts in their trunk shows Link
  • Daily access to the Guild’s “Farmhouse”  with a fun selection of weekly quilting activities held there Link
  • Access to the Guild’s Lending Library of over 1,200 quilt-related books, patterns, quilting templates, DVDs and magazines Link
  • Opportunity to attend monthly Member-taught workshops (guild members who have a technique to share) Link
  • Opportunity to display quilts in our annual quilt show held in April Link

All GQCCC members are welcome to attend monthly Board Meetings.

Member Responsibilities Each Year for GQCCC Annual Quilt Show:

  • Participate with quilt entries;
  • Volunteer on Quilt Show committees Link to Quilt Show Volunteering;
  • Assist with set up and take down of the show or work in other ways at the show within your physical restrictions;
  • Sell or buy at least $20 worth of Opportunity Quilt tickets;
  • Donate two salable items to the Country Store or donate $10 for Country Store supplies Donation List

Our general meetings are held at 7 pm at the Centre Concord 5298 Clayton Road, Concord.  Click for Map  Meetings are the third Monday of every month except for January and February when the meetings are the Tuesday after the third Monday due to Monday holidays.

The Weathervane
Newsletter Editor: Erica Riekki

GQCCC publishes a monthly guild newsletter, The Weathervane.  Members with email receive their newsletter by email.  Members can also choose to have their newsletter mailed to their home for an additional membership fee of $20 annually. This will apply to any membership beginning with Quilt Show 2016.

Newsletter input for each month’s newsletter is due to Becky Styles by noon Thursday before the end of each month. Send email to:

Advertisements in Newsletter

Appropriate advertisements are accepted for the monthly newsletter. Ads will be approximately 1/8 page. Rate is $10 for a business card size, $15 for 1/6 page, $30 for 1/3 page, and $45 for ½ page ad.
